Named User License Model

Structured Content Licensing

Structured Content licensing is separate from WebCenter licensing. Structured Content can use either Named User Licensing or Concurrent Licensing depending on your setup, regardless of whether your WebCenter server is set up to use Named User Licensing or Concurrent Licensing.

There are two types of Structured Content Users:

Named User Licenses for Editors and Reviewers

As an Admin, you can make individual users Structured Content Editors or Structured Content Reviewers by adding them to the SC_EDITORS or SC_REVIEWERS group, respectively. These groups are part of the Deployment package . WebCenter users that are not part of either group cannot open documents in the Structured Content Editor application.

You can see the number of Purchased, Assigned and Remaining licenses for these two groups on the Users page. See Check the Named User Licensing Status.

Note:
  • If a user is in both SC_EDITORS and SC_REVIEWERS groups, they only take up an Editor license.
  • You cannot assign more Editor or Reviewer licenses than available.
  • When disabling a user , their license is freed up.
